Domain focus
Offshore wind operations and maintenance, from farm representation and reliability modeling to logistics simulation and strategy comparison.
Organization
We develop engineering decision support systems for offshore wind operations and maintenance, helping teams move from assumptions to structured comparison.
Offshore wind O&M involves complex trade-offs between maintenance policy, vessel logistics, weather windows, availability, and cost. All of them are connected. Ventarion provides a platform to model these interactions and compare strategies before operational commitment.
Offshore wind operations and maintenance, from farm representation and reliability modeling to logistics simulation and strategy comparison.
Engineering teams building and validating O&M scenarios, and asset owners evaluating fleet and maintenance strategies before investment decisions.
Ventarion Sim was developed after the X-Multirotor DfM research project, drawing on multi-rotor operations and maintenance research experience gained at HAW Hamburg’s Competence Center for Energy Transition (CC4E). X-Multirotor DfM ran from 2021 to 2025 and was funded by the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
